Philip Hoare is a writer, artist and curator. His books include acclaimed biographies of Stephen Tennant and Noel Coward, Leviathan, or The Whale, winner of the Samuel Johnson Prize, and William Blake and the Sea Monsters of Love. He is curator of the Moby-Dick and Ancient Mariner Big Reads and needs to swim every day in the sea.
